I don't know if you've been following this nonsense
Fox News (often called Faux Noise) has outdone itself. And outdone the parodists.
Upon securing the Democratic nomination, Obama gave his wife an affectionate fist bump or pound. This confounded the mainstream white media, who gallantly struggled to interpret this physical display of Ebonics.
Satirist Stephen Colbert has (reportedly) called it a 'secret Muslim handshake,' as a joke of course. But could the ultra-right wing Fox do better?
To me, Barack Obama seems like an OK guy. He's smart, erudite, charismatic, and now has a shot at the brass ring.
Perhaps he's just another politician with a good line in smarmy BS until he gets into the Oval Office, at which point he'll spin around in the big leather chair, put his feet up on the desk, light a big cigar, and start carving up Alaska between Exxon-Mobil and Shell Oil.
Or maybe he's actually an OK guy, I don't know–but why not just trust him? There's really nothing to lose at this stage: Ron Paul is out of it, and McCain is probably a shoe-in anyway.
I do know that Obama doesn't deserve this. (Click through to Media Matters for the rest.)
